Vernacular architecture electives have been trained in hybrid models in terms of studio and off the studio training sessions. Hastha Shilpa Heritage village, Manipal, has been visited and documented completely to understand the Climatic/ Contextual/ Cultural influence on the built forms. Students have been made to interact with several resource people during this offline experience, including Mr.Harish Pai from Hastha Shilpa.
